


Grinnell Faculty/Staff Research Series Event, 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in Burling First Floor Lounge

The 2023 Bachelor of Arts Exhibition (BAX), which features works in the creative arts by third- and fourth-year Grinnell College students, opens on Friday, April 21, in the Grinnell College Museum of Art. The exhibition will be on display through May 22.

The lecture, titled “The Curious Case of Manius Curius: A Contested Will, a Trial, and Competitive Oratory in Republican Rome,” will explore a celebrated civil trial from the late Roman Republic involving a contested will and the resultant litigation between two parties seeking to be the heir.

Known by generations of Grinnellians for being dark and cold, Norris Hall is now being seen in a new light.

Starting April 13th, an area encompassing the west side of Park Street and Hwy. 6 in front of the John Chrystal Center (JCC) will be fenced off as the College and Weitz Construction team embark on the next phase of the South Energy Plant project, which will connect campus and downtown facilities. The fence surrounding the construction site will go up on Thursday, April 13th and Friday, April 14th and will remain in place until the end of June.
