The Haitian Arts Digital Crossroads project presents a film screening of Jean-Michel Basquiat's “L’Afrique au Coeur” (Africa at the Heart). It is a 60-minute documentary directed by Cyril Bérard that explores artist Jean-Michel Basquiat’s only trip to the African continent, and his influence among African artists.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Please join us for pizza and refreshments after the film.

Co-sponsored by the Department of Art History, Grinnell College Libraries, the Department of French and Arabic, and the Film and Media Studies concentration.
