Continued support from Grinnell College and the community helps libraries expand their collections and enrich educational experience at Grinnell High School and Grinnell Middle School.

In December 2021 community mini-grants were awarded to seven local initiatives, totaling $25,121. Since 2002, the mini-grant program has directed over $507,000 toward 209 community-driven initiatives.

On Jan. 28, the Grinnell College Museum of Art (GCMoA) opens a new exhibition, Digital Vision. For the artists in this exhibition, digital technology has changed their art in both subtle and overt ways.

Grinnell College will stream “Cinderella” on Jan. 5 as part of the Met’s 2021-22 Live in HD season. The Office of Community Partnerships, Planning, & Research is offering free tickets at the door to all attendees which is made possible through The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. This event is free and open to the public.

Mini-Grants support local projects to enhance the quality of life in Grinnell
Recognizing the many challenges of the past year and looking toward fall with hope and optimism, a coalition of community businesses and organizations partnered on a new initiative — #GrinnTogether.
Colorful caricatures show what people eat, see, and experience when living or visiting Grinnell. The mural gives new life to a public space and shares a heartfelt message for everyone to see. It also tells a story of what a welcoming community looks like.
