When a few retired Iowa Congregational ministers wanted to develop a retirement community in the late 1940s, they chose Grinnell for its history as the center of Iowa Congregationalism and close ties to the College. The Grinnell College Museum of Art (GCMoA) is celebrating 25 years of bringing the joy and excitement of art to Grinnell College and the wider community. GCMoA — opened in 1999 under the name Faulconer Gallery — promotes the arts, features various major exhibitions of national and international arts and artists, and conducts outreach initiatives.
The Trustees of Grinnell College announced today that they have entered a five-year contract extension with President Anne F. Harris. Under this contract, her service to the College will extend through June 30, 2030.
