The Grinnell College Libraries offers paging and delivery of materials for faculty/staff. Circulating books can be requested from our stacks using My Library account. Your delivery preference (pick up at Burling or delivery to work address) will determine when the item(s) are available.
Requested Items for Pick Up at Burling Library
- Books are generally paged and delivered to the hold shelf multiple times per day.
- When your item(s) are available for pick up, you will receive an email notification.
- If an item you requested cannot be found on the shelf, circulation staff will email you. We will make the item missing, allowing you to request the item via interlibrary loan.
- Items are checked out to you when you come to pick them up.
Requested Items for Delivery
- Items are generally paged multiple times per day.
- Items will be checked out to you once the item is paged.
- You will receive a personal delivery notification
- Library staff will deliver items to the following faculty hubs:
- Bucksbaum Center for the Arts, ARH Pavilion, HSSC Pavilions (N & S), Noyce Science Center
- Faculty/staff not connected to a faculty hub will have their items delivered via campus mail services
- Delivery schedule as follows:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday before 4 p.m.
Please do not return items using the delivery service methods (faculty hub or campus mail). All items need to be physically returned to Burling Library.
