Art students receive more than $3,000 in prizes at BAX opening reception

Writers@Grinnell wraps up the season with award-winning authors, Claire Lombardo and Rachel Yoder on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 4:15 p.m. in the Grinnell Museum of Art. The award winners for the spring writing contests will also be announced at the end of this event.

The 2022 Bachelor of Arts Exhibition (BAX), which features works in the creative arts by 36 third- and fourth-year Grinnell College students, will open on Friday, April 22, in the Grinnell College Museum of Art.

On Jan. 28, the Grinnell College Museum of Art (GCMoA) opens a new exhibition, Digital Vision. For the artists in this exhibition, digital technology has changed their art in both subtle and overt ways.

Susan Baley has been named as the new Director of the Grinnell College Museum of Art. Chosen after a nationwide search, Baley will assume the duties of director on Jan. 4, 2022.

W@G celebrates the book release of “Did We Make It?” by Grinnell College faculty member Ralph Savarese on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at 8 p.m. in the Grinnell Museum of Art.

A roundtable with special alumni guests Emily Mester ’14 and Clare Mao ’14 is also on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 4:15 p.m., in Humanities and Social Studies Center (HSSC) Room S1325. 

BAX is an annual exhibition of works by advanced third-year students and seniors. With support from Grinnell College Museum of Art staff, students manage all the exhibition details.
