Language Houses
Five language houses have existed since the 1993–94 academic year. These houses are associated with their academic department. The purpose of the Language House Program is to provide students who speak or are learning to speak another language with an environment that is conducive to learning the language, culture, and customs of the country/countries of the language.
Each language house has a student house coordinator and a faculty adviser; the house coordinator lives in the house. Students interested in living in a language house must contact the language department / language house faculty adviser for information on the application process.
Project Houses
Five project houses are available to students and consists of students with a common interest and a desire to promote that interest to the campus community. A house coordinator lives in the house and leads weekly house meetings.
Each year, current Project Houses can re-apply for the following academic year. If a house fails to re-apply, Residence Life will accept applications for a project house. If a house is available, Residence Life will communicate to students in February regarding the application process and deadlines.
