As part of the Grinnell College public events concert series, Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky, will perform at Herrick Chapel on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at 7:30 p.m.
During the 2022 Commencement ceremony, Grinnell College will award honorary degrees to the following individuals who have made major contributions to the fields of law, science, humanities, and social science. Grinnell honors three faculty members retiring in 2022 for their years of service and bestows on them the title of emeritus faculty.
Featuring guest artist Michela Marino Lerman and all-original student music by the Grinnell Jazz Ensemble, Digital Music Making, and Tap is Music, under the direction of Visiting Professor, Daniel Oore.
Grinnell is proud to welcome Dr. Bernice A. King, to speak at Commencement ceremonies at 10 a.m. on May 23 on Central Campus. King is carrying on her father’s mission of nonviolence and positive social change through her work as a global thought leader, orator, peace advocate, and as leader of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (founded by her mother, Coretta Scott King in 1968).
