Grinnellians from 47 states, Washington D.C. and 17 countries return to campus for the 138th Alumni Reunion Weekend, while Alumni College tackles positive approaches to help bridge the "Division in America."

Grinnell College's third annual Summerfest — a free, daylong celebration of learning, discovery, and entertainment for all ages — will take place on campus from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 17.

The biennial exhibition, June 10-18, 2017, features more than 100 quilts of all sizes, techniques, colors, and patterns, designed and quilted by the 50 local guild members.

Daniel Werner ’91 received an honorary Doctor of Laws at Grinnell College Commencement 2017.

Actor, writer, and stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjiani ’01 received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at Grinnell College Commencement 2017 and gave the commencement address.

Barb Van Ersvelde received an honorary Doctor of Humanities at Grinnell College Commencement 2017.

Emily Pfitsch received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at Grinnell College Commencement 2017.
