Sites@Grinnell provides a place for faculty, students, staff, and campus organizations to publish information and share projects around their teaching, learning, scholarship and activity with a publicly accessible web presence. Members of the College community can develop websites and digital presence with applications such as WordPress, Omeka, Scalar, MediaWiki, and others platforms and web authoring tools. Sites @ Grinnell is offered through a partnership with Reclaim Hosting, a web hosting company specializing in service and support for the higher education community.
There are many ways that members of the Grinnell College community have been using Sites at Grinnell College. You can explore this inventory of public websites (login required) that are hosted at Sites to get a sense of the variety of ways that members of the college community are using the Web to share their information and projects. Some faculty have professional domains to present information about their teaching, research, and scholarship. There are class websites at which students blog and publish various digital projects. Some students have portfolio sites that document and showcase their academic work. Various campus organizations and groups have sites to inform and promote specific projects and events and the work of their department more generally.
