Jodie Geddes: Oct. 27–29
Our campus community is excited to welcome Jodie Geddes, an international speaker on restorative justice, author, and advocate for racial healing and justice who creates spaces for imagination and deep conversation around issues of race and equity.
During her visit on Oct. 27–29, Geddes will explore with us restorative justice principles and practices, harm and conflict, and racial healing. She will also offer experiential trainings and mini-workshops.
On Thursday, Oct. 27, Geddes will present two events that are open to the general public:
- Scholar’s Convocation, “Defining Community: Resistance and Discovery” at 11 a.m. in Rosenfield Center, Room 101
- Book Talk, at 3 p.m. (RSVP is required)
As the Restorative Practices Committee and Restorative Practices Ambassador Group continue their series on “Living Our Values: Promoting Belonging in a Restorative and Engaged Community,” we invite the campus community to participate in as many of the scheduled events during Geddes visit as you are able.
