Don't let pre-health intimidate you. There are many resources available to help.
Grinnell College students can join the HPAC listserv to get information about lectures, panel discussions, important deadlines, graduate/medical school visitors, and more. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Working with the HPAC and the Center for Careers, Life and Service (CLS), these student-led groups offer opportunities to learn about various health fields, facilitate connections with alumni, and communicate about shadowing and volunteer service in the community.
Visit the Health Professions Career Community on the CLS website for resources to help you explore, prepare for, and apply to professional schools. Mary Jane Shroyer, the health pros director, can help you identify job shadowing, internships, and meaningful community service experiences with a health focus. She can also support you through every aspect of the application process, including reviewing essays with you, helping you select programs and schools, and conducting mock interviews.

Each year we are sent information for some, but not all, opportunities for research and/or fellowships related to medicine. These, along with other opportunities in the sciences, are compiled on the Science Division’s GrinnellShare page. Select Academics from the top menu and click Science Division, Research Opportunities, and then Off Campus Summer Opportunities.
If you have questions about any of these opportunities, you should either contact the particular program or you could contact CLS.
