Nadia Vossoughi

I am a social psychologist with a focus on intergroup relations research. As an intergroup relations researcher, I am interested in the causes and consequences of intergroup inequality as well as factors that promote social change. I pursue these interests in two related lines of research. In my first line of research, I aim to illuminate the consequences of subtle bias in academic and workplace contexts. In my second line of research, I examine what factors drive people to form alliances across social-group lines (e.g., race, gender) to push for system-challenging social change. Throughout my research program, I consider how the social identities we hold, the socio-political ideologies we endorse, and the environmental context shape our group interactions.
