Graham Miller
Director of Strategic Research
Graham uses a range of quantitative approaches and tools to better understand the Grinnell campus and broader community and promote data-informed decision-making on key priorities. He additionally collaborates with a wide range of institutional partners to support quantitative research needs across campus.
Prior to joining Grinnell, Graham worked in institutional research at Brandeis University for almost three years. In this role, he led analytics efforts around student retention and graduation and additionally leveraged quantitative data in support of community health, program assessment, and a wide array of institutional departments. He has also published research on college and university identity, mission, and behavior in Research in Higher Education, The Journal of Higher Education, Teachers College Record, and others.
Graham earned his B.A. in Politics at Brandeis University, his MS.Ed. in Higher Education at the University of Pennsylvania, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of Iowa. In addition to his work at Grinnell, Graham teaches master’s and doctoral-level coursework in the University of Iowa’s Higher Education and Student Affairs program.
