What I love about my job: I love being part of the Office of Admission team. With my colleagues by my side, it is exciting to assist prospective students in their journey to higher education.
What I love about Grinnell: Collaboration. Whether it is in school, work, or personal life, Grinnellians are always willing to collaborate. And this approach has allowed our students to have truly unique learning experiences, coworkers can streamline their workload, and non-profits are able to blossom.
Hobbies/activities: I’m grateful to be able to give back to my community by being actively involved. My family and I volunteer at our local animal shelter (PALS) every Saturday morning. I serve on the LINK Mentoring board, as well as the Grinnell-Newburg School Foundation and Grinnell United Way. I will also never pass up the opportunity to take a nap, preferably with a cat on my lap.
Advice about searching for schools: Ask for advice. Talk to your school counselor, family, and friends. You may find they suggest a school not on your radar. I urge you to look within and find a campus that truly suits your interests.
Advice about applying to schools: Be aware of deadlines. Consider creating a spreadsheet with important dates to keep yourself organized. Good luck!
