What I love about my territory: I love working with all of the students, families, and counselors in my territory. I have been responsible for this territory for quite a while, so these places are like second homes to me. I have my favorite places to stay, eat, and shop. It is a bonus that all of the places I travel to have very different landscapes than Iowa (the desert, the mountains, and the ocean).

What I love about Grinnell: The community — hands down. I love the niceness and friendliness of it. You don’t have to know someone to say “Hi” or smile at them.

Hobbies/activities: I love to travel and explore new places. I like shopping for unique gifts for friends and family. Recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time gardening.

Advice about searching for schools: Create a separate email account for your college search. Ask questions. Consider the whole college experience (academics, student life, opportunities, etc.).

Advice about applying to schools: Submit all the necessary documents by the deadline, and check your email.
