Sied Hassen Mohamed received a PhD degree in Economics from University of Gothenburg, Sweden, master's degree in development and environmental economics from University of Oslo, Norway and B.A degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University. Prior to my current position at Grinnell College, I was visiting assistant professor at Whitman College, Washington, a consultant at CUDMAS Group and the World Bank in Washington DC, senior researcher at Policy Studies Institute in Ethiopia, a research fellow at European Investment Bank (EIB) in applied Development Finance and also a fellow at James E. Rogers Energy Access Project at Duke University. My research mainly focuses on household and enterprise energy efficiency, energy consumption and energy access issues. Methodologically, I mainly use experimental, and Qui-experimental impact evaluation methods. My publications can be viewed here.
