Petra Lange
Petra Lange serves as an Assistant Professor of Education at Grinnell College, and she teaches Educational Principles in a Pluralistic Society, Introduction to Participant Observation in Schools, Reading and Writing Youth and Youth Culture, Research and Methods in Teaching the Young Adult and Research and Methods in the Teaching of Language Arts and Reading. Petra’s research interests are in student-led anti-racism movements, anti-racist and Culturally and Historically Responsive curriculum, and the reflective practice of educators navigating restrictive policies. Teaching for twenty years in public schools in Central Iowa allowed for the creating and sustaining of many relationships among institutions and individuals that allow for meaningful pedagogical connections into communities in the courses she teaches.
