Joe Webster

Joe is a mathematician specializing in p-adic numbers, combinatorics, and mathematical physics, though he is generally interested in finding connections between these subjects and other areas of mathematics. He is currently working on asymptotic problems involving homogeneous spaces, gauge theories, and the two-dimensional matrix-tree theorem.

Joe enjoys teaching many different mathematics courses (with a particular love for analysis) and has mentored undergraduates through explorations of number theory, generating functions, Fourier transforms, and complex analysis.

Joe is teaching Calculus II (MAT 133) and Fourier Analysis (MAT 317) this Fall. He will be teaching two sections of Linear Algebra (MAT 215) and one section of Foundations of Real Analysis (MAT 316) in the Spring.
