Rebecca Marcum
Assistant Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations
Rebecca Marcum ’12 joined the Grinnell College Office of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations as assistant director in 2022. In addition to supporting faculty and staff regarding research development programming, Marcum is collaborative member of the ‘Grants Office’ offering assistance in the pursuit of external funding for teaching, research, and campus-wide initiatives.
Prior to joining the College, Marcum advised undergraduate students at Penn State University where she also managed an award-winning staff training program. During her ten years of service at Penn State she also served as an admissions counselor and liaison for the Penn State World Campus. Most recently she was a course instructor on academic advising.
Marcum earned a B.A. in anthropology and French from Grinnell College, where she also received the Rachel Asrelsky Anthropology Paper Prize in 2012. She also earned Master of Education in Higher Education from Penn State University. She has completed the Inclusive and Ethical Leadership Certificate (USF) and CAEL Career and Education Advising Certification. She is a three-time nominee for the Division of Undergraduate Studies Excellence in Advising, an awardee of NACADA Advising Technology Innovation, and a two-time awardee for Outreach & Online Education Excellence in Advising.
