What I love about my job: I enjoy collaborating with my colleagues about how to introduce Grinnell authentically to prospective students and how to help those students make meaningful connections with Grinnell faculty, staff, and students.

What I love about Grinnell: My wife and I met as staff members here several years ago!

Hobbies/activities: When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing fantasy baseball, and walking my boxer-lab-Great Dane mix, Bo, with my wife and daughter. I also compete in marathons and Ironman races, so I’m grateful for the top-tier athletic facilities at Grinnell College and the amazing parks and trails available throughout Central Iowa.

Advice about searching for schools: When you're researching schools, consider which ones will offer you a tremendous four-year experience and beyond. You are investing in a lifelong education and network.

Advice about applying to schools: Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Those of us who work in higher education use a lot of buzzwords, and we’ve been through countless admission cycles. This is likely your first and only one, so it’s okay to ask for clarification about everything pertaining to this big next step!
