Megan Baldree
Assistant Dean of Student Success
Megan Baldree arrived at Grinnell in August of 2019 after spending 7 years in Abilene, TX. She worked at two universities in the areas of Title IX, First-Year Experience, Student Activities, and Orientation. She grew up in Texas and received her B.A. in Language and Linguistics from Baylor University in Waco, TX. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she moved to Oxford, Ohio to complete her M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University.
Megan works with Student Support and Advocacy. Her role is to assist students with any concerns and issues that may be impacting their ability to fully participate academically, personally, and socially on campus by providing access to resources and assistance.
Megan loves all things Grinnell. However, if she had to point to a few favorites that stand out, it would be the focus on social justice and commitment to care of students by continuing to break barriers, open access, and be innovative in practice.
Outside of work, you can find Megan gardening, on her Vespa, or exploring nature. She loves photography, so don’t be surprised if you find her out and about with her camera. You may also run across her walking her Siberian Huskies, Indie and Miska, around town. She also has a host of other critters—two black cats named Mousse and Frisky, a gray tabby named Corks and another pup named Stella - whom she loves to spoil constantly.
