Lauren Myers

Lauren Myers (she/her) has lived in many places across the United States but considers Charlotte, North Carolina her hometown. She has been with Grinnell College since November 2015 and began working with the Academic Advising team in July 2023.

She believes that all students are capable and competent learners. She enjoys working collaboratively with individuals on developing ways to build upon their natural capacities for growth and success. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, vegan cooking, and having too many houseplants (at last count, there are 33 in her office).

Her favorite part about working at Grinnell College is working at an institution that has a strong commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and community values. Before coming to the academic advising team, Lauren worked in K-12 STEM education, higher ed administration, and residential/housing operations.

Lauren’s main areas of responsibility are working one-on-one with students on academic concerns and supporting the Partners program. 

Her office is located in the north upper level of Steiner Hall (Room 310).
