Mikey O'Conner and Maddy Thompson receive the Robert N. Noyce Senior Student Award, and Jemzy Alabi, Micah Cantor, Mia Hines, and Tanmaie Kailash named winners of the Henry M. And Theresa P. Walker Endowed Prize for Excellence in Computer Science.

William (Bill) Ferguson ’75, Gertrude B. Austin Professor of Economics, will be hosted by the University of Oxford’s Institute for New Economic Thinking to present, “Social Identity, Institutional Entrepreneurship, and Identity Politics" on June 12, 2024.

Five teams of students pitched social innovation solutions at the Spark Challenge in April, 2024. They competed for cash prizes and the opportunity to win an implementation grant for their community partner or campus partner. Funding for the program is offered by the Wilson Center for Innovation and Leadership.

The ceremony marked the culmination of hard work, dedication, and academic achievement by the graduates. 332 accomplished graduates marked the class of 2024's milestone.

During the pandemic, Brian Smith ’94 made it his mission to support his fellow clergy as they lived with the reality of COVID, which kept them from physically being with their congregants.

With the help of Student Health and Wellness, a team of students created GHAMP, which aims to empower students to be informed, active participants in their healthcare and help navigate prominent barriers.

Kristen Burson, Associate Professor of Physics, and Heriberto Hernandez, Professor of Chemistry, will spend the summer collaborating with scientists at DOE-funded national labs.

Celina Karp Biniaz ’52 was a featured speaker at a recent event at the University of Southern California that honored Holocaust survivors — like Biniaz — who had recorded their testimony with the USC Shoah Foundation. Biniaz received USC’s prestigious University Medallion in a special ceremony on March 25.
