Grinnell College will mark the holiday with events on Tuesday, June 18, including an interactive virtual workshop, a flag-raising ceremony and brief program, a mobile museum with a timeline of historical Juneteenth and Grinnell College facts, and a campus lunch.

Students in the Spring 2024 Global Learning Program Course Emerging Infectious Diseases traveled to South Africa and Alaska to conduct fieldwork at the forefront of disease ecology.

Five teams of students pitched social innovation solutions at the Spark Challenge in April, 2024. They competed for cash prizes and the opportunity to win an implementation grant for their community partner or campus partner. Funding for the program is offered by the Wilson Center for Innovation and Leadership.
