As you make your way as a young adult, there are many discoveries and choices that you'll make. My crew is eager to join you on your journey and can help you every step of the way.
Hi there,
Choosing a college is one of many important professional decisions you’ll make over the next 4+ years, and it’s important to have resources, mentors, and advisers to consult as you consider your options.
My name is Mark, and I work with a great team at Grinnell’s Center for Careers, Life, and Service (CLS). We help Grinnell students explore and prepare for their lives after college.
As you make your way as a young adult, there are many discoveries and choices that you’ll make. My crew is eager to join you on your journey and can help you every step of the way. To help you gain experience, make connections, and build your portfolio, we’ll make sure you have access to:
- 1:1 coaching through every stage of your college experience,
- Grants (fundings for unpaid internships, for example),
- Career resources and experiences (job shadowing alumni, career treks for specific industries),
- And more.
Our expectation for you, ultimately, is that you will be prepared to achieve your own post-college ambitions and lead a life of meaning and purpose.
Rest assured, you have plenty of time to sort this all out, and we’ll work with you starting from your first year here. We’ll get to know each other pretty well: we have one of the lowest career adviser-to-student ratios in the country, after all.
I wish you the very best. See you on campus soon!
Sincerely,
Mark Peltz
