Grinnell College is engaged in the search process for its 14th president. After nearly a decade as president, Raynard S. Kington, M.D., Ph.D. will be leaving the College at the end of the academic year in order to become the new Head of Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.
For additional information, you can read the Presidential Transition Announcement and an update about the Presidential Search Process from Board of Trustees Chair David Maxwell. A Search Committee has been formed, and Isaacson, Miller has been retained to assist with identifying and recruiting candidates for President Kington’s successor.
The Search Committee worked in collaboration with the Isaacson, Miller search consulting team to solicit input from a wide range of Grinnell constituents, including staff, faculty, and students, about what Grinnellians hope the next president will do/accomplish, aspirations for the College, and how Grinnell might evolve under new presidential leadership in the coming years. That input was used to create the position profile, now available on both Grinnell’s and Isaacson, Miller’s websites, shared with prospective candidates early in the search.
If you have feedback, we have created a presidential search email address where you can send comments: presidentialsearch@grinnell.edu. Comments sent to this email will be shared confidentially with members of the Presidential Search Committee and Isaacson, Miller.
From this webpage, individuals can apply, submit a nomination, or contact Isaacson, Miller with questions or comments.
