Did you know that there are over 20,000 nonprofits in Iowa working every day to improve lives and strengthen communities? The demand for nonprofit leadership continues to grow. However, in Grinnell and in other rural communities, most community organizations run with little or no staff and are highly dependent on the dedication of volunteers to accomplish their missions.

Grinnell College marked a significant milestone in Renfrow Hall's construction with a Topping-Off Ceremony. Weitz, the construction company, noted this event signals the completion of the building's skeleton structure, with the elevator hoist beam serving as the focal point. Attendees shared in the unique opportunity to sign this pivotal piece before it was raised into place.

Two prestigious awards from the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), a merit award and an honorable mention, were recently bestowed upon the college for its outstanding work on the Kington/Christiansen outdoor gathering and learning areas and the Humanities and Social Studies Center (HSSC) building.

The Norris Hall renovation project was a collaboration between Grinnell College, the Weitz Company, CPMI, and OPN Architects. Among the many alterations to Norris included the addition of new windows, a newly designed kitchen and lounge spaces. As well as new ADA rooms and adding an elevator to make the building accessible for all.
