Alums cherished building community during a series of inclusive and thought-provoking events.

The Grinnell Community Meal is the result of the newly combined Davis Community Meal and Grinnell United Methodist Church’s Blessed Community Meal — both of which operated independently before the pandemic but have now come together to meet the dual purpose of food and fellowship.

Robinson’s lecture, “Nanoparticles 101: Small Particles, Big Impact!” will introduce attendees to the vast power and applications of nanoparticles. November 16 at 11 a.m. in JRC 101.

Brian Goodell ’24 recently orchestrated a unique and heartwarming event that brought together two groups with a shared passion — running. Goodell, who volunteers at Poweshiek Animal League Shelter (PALS), combined the joy of running with the love for dogs.

On Nov. 5, Southern completed the New York City Marathon alongside more than 51 thousand runners. Southern’s finished the marathon in an impressive 2:48:38 with an average mile pace of 6:26, making her the first woman from New York City to finish the race, the seventh U.S. woman and 23rd woman overall.
