While the OISA is the primary resource for international students on campus, host families offer an invaluable additional support system for new Grinnellians from around the world.

Dance Ensemble, a 2-credit course offered in the department of Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies, is open to all students regardless of major and encourages creative expression in a collaborative and diverse environment.

Grinnell College’s 143rd Alumni Reunion Weekend is taking place June 1-4 throughout numerous venues on campus and around Grinnell. At last count, 1,400 guests have registered to attend.

This spring, Grinnell College awarded community mini-grants totaling $22,200 to six local initiatives. Since 2002, the mini-grant program has directed over $580,000 to 227 community-driven initiatives.

Willig, class of 2023 from Brookline, Massachusetts, graduated with a music major and an American studies concentration. Their essay titled “Critical Fabulation for Survival: Knowledge of Pre-colonial Gender in Igbo Culture to Sustain Queer Imaginings of Care,” explores anti-queer and patriarchal violence in Nigeria and how these oppressive structures impact the nation’s citizens and members of its diaspora.

Holly Roepke will return to Grinnell College with her appointment as director of athletics and recreation. She will also serve as chair of the department of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation (PEAR).

The Grinnell Singers have released a CD of Jan Dismas Zelenka’s Missa Omnium Sanctorum, recorded with the Lyra Baroque Orchestra.

Grinnell College May 2023 graduates Daniel Rosenbloom and Dorota Ziabicka were awarded Critical Language Scholarships for summer 2023 and Pierce Fairbanks and Isabella Maloney participated in summer 2022.
