David Stanley, Global Kitchen Culinary Coordinator, Institute for Global Engagement
Stanley works tirelessly to facilitate effective educational use of the Global Kitchen by a broad range of constituents, whom he empowers to use the space to further the free and open exchange of ideas through the preparation and sharing of food
Where he truly shines is in how he ensures that the Global Kitchen is an inclusive, safe, and creative space. Our many international students find in him a tremendous and sincere advocate. Further, he is always on the lookout to bring more diversity into the Global Kitchen, working tirelessly to expand the reach of the Global Kitchen across campus.
Stanley's interactions with everyone are a model for how we should live and work together as a community. His approach is as personal as it is genuine, and he does all he can to make sure anyone using the Global Kitchen is part of the Grinnell community.
