Sybarite5

Nov 4, 2014
String quintet Sybarite5, known for pushing the boundaries of concert music, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in Herrick Chapel. The performance is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.

Sybarite5, winner of the Concert Artists Guild competition, has quickly established a reputation for redefining the rules of classical chamber music. The Washington Post, for example, has praised Sybarite5 as “intriguing and hugely enjoyable.”

The concert program, “Everything in Its Right Place,” showcases music by Mozart, Radiohead, Piazzolla, and Brubeck, as well as groundbreaking new compositions for the group by Eric Byers, Shawn Conley, Andy Ahiko, and Dan Visconti.

Beginning at noon Wednesday, Nov. 5, tickets can be obtained at the Bucksbaum Center for the Arts box office, with a limited number of tickets also available at the Pioneer Bookshop in downtown Grinnell.

To check ticket availability, please call the box office at 641-269-4444.
