Grinnellians in the Time of Coronavirus

The Grinnell College Archives, with valuable support from the staff of Digital Liberal Arts Collaborative (DLAC), has begun a new blog, Grinnellians in the Time of Coronavirus. We invite you to use this blog to share your experiences navigating this singular moment in local, regional, national, and world history. We hope that the blog will help Grinnellians in the community and around the world stay connected with the College by sharing your stories and reflections of how the coronavirus and closing of the campus have impacted your life. Such sharing can draw our community back together a little more closely, as well as being a potential small step toward healing.

In addition to these immediate benefits, the new blog also serves a secondary long-term purpose. There is an unfortunate lack of primary material in the College archives related to the Spanish influenza in 1918, and we would like researchers in the future to have some glimpse of what life was like for the College community during this moment in time. By sharing your story, you can allow future students and researchers to learn from your experiences during this time.
