Communications Staff Members Win CASE Awards for Writing

Beamer, Stolze Honored for News and Feature Writing

Ellen de Graffenreid, vice president of communication and marketing, recently announced that two of Grinnell’s professional staff writers, Anika Jane Beamer ’22 and Jackie Hartling Stolze, received awards for their writing in the Best of District VI @CASE Awards program.

“We’re proud of the quality of work produced by all our staff in communications and marketing,” de Graffenreid says. “These awards, presented to Anika Jane and Jackie, are something the whole College can feel good about.”

Beamer, who is now in graduate school, wrote a series of web stories on Summer Mentored Advanced Projects that was singled out for recognition, as was Stolze’s “Planting Seeds of Hope,” a Grinnell Magazine feature story profiling Professor Emeritus Harold Kasimow

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) supports professionals at educational institutions worldwide. CASE District VI represents the Midwest region of the United States, a large geographic area that includes every size and type of institution.
