The Fall '21 Writers@Grinnell series kicks off with Santiago Jose Sanchez and Larissa Pham on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. in the Grinnell College Museum of Art. A roundtable with special alumni guests Emily Mester ’14 and Clare Mao ’14 is also on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 4:15 p.m., in Humanities and Social Studies Center (HSSC) Room S1325. 

These are just a few of the sustainable environmental practices Grinnell College uses to be a responsible steward of natural resources.

Colorful caricatures show what people eat, see, and experience when living or visiting Grinnell. The mural gives new life to a public space and shares a heartfelt message for everyone to see. It also tells a story of what a welcoming community looks like.

Land stewardship apprentices Athena Frasca ’23, Jacy Highbarger ’22, and Max Sorenson ’22 develop a land ethic through farming in the College Garden and managing campus prairies.
