Over 40 Grinnell College Students Elected to Phi Beta Kappa
Selection confers lifetime membership in the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society
Highlighting their outstanding academic achievements, more than 40 third and fourth-year students at Grinnell College have been elected to Beta of Iowa, Grinnell’s Phi Beta Kappa Chapter.
Phi Beta Kappa, a prestigious academic honor society, serves to recognize and reward excellence in the liberal arts and sciences across qualified colleges and universities. The Beta Chapter of Iowa, housed at Grinnell College, was established in 1907, marking its place as the 70th chapter nationwide and the second in Iowa. Through Phi Beta Kappa, these students join a long tradition of intellectual inquiry and achievement, further enriching the vibrant academic environment at Grinnell.
